I’m dressed in a pair of faded jean short shorts, a tight white spaghetti strap crop top, a pair of sneakers, and a need for some exploration. It was a good day to be near the river and enjoy the peace and quiet. I sighed happily and drank in all the beauty around me. Green trees, mountains in the distance, and a sparkling, fresh river that stretched out for at least a football field. And, the current looked endless.

But it wasn’t something I was going to enjoy for very long. I didn’t know it at the time, but something was lurking in the churning water out of sight.

Rumor had it that a monstrous creature lived in these parts, and I had a burning desire to see for myself if those rumors were true or not. So, I came out here in search of adventure.

The water was still and calm where I was. I’d left the rapids behind me in search of softer waters. I figured the creature would want to be in less chaotic currents. I mean, assuming it was even a real thing. For all I knew, it was something the locals whipped up to drive more business.

I sat down by the edge of the water and looked down into its’ depths. Some fish swam lazily past me, and it looked so refreshing. I had the desire to take a dip and experience the cool river.

So, I stripped off my clothes, set them on a large rock, and slipped into the glorious river. It felt so good against my hot skin. I wanted to stay there forever, just lazing the day away. The fish danced around me, and the water was so soothing. I closed my eyes to really relax and enjoy the current as it gently carried me on my back. There was no way a creature of myth could be in such a serene place like this one.

Oh, how very wrong I was.

At first, it was nice and quiet. The fish grazed by me, and it tickled a little.

But then the fish swam past me. They sounded almost frantic. I rolled onto my belly and repositioned myself so I was treading water. My gaze scanned the river, my ears alert for the sound of a waterfall. Tumbling quickly down onto some sharp rocks really didn’t sound like my idea of fun.

That was when I saw it. It was a shadow under the surface of the water. The shadow wasn’t particularly wide, but it looked thick enough that I could easily fit inside its’ belly.

My heart raced, and I tried to swim toward the riverbank. I flailed my arms and legs in a panic, trying to put some major distance between me and whatever the hell that thing was.

I choked on some water that splashed up into my face. I inhaled too quickly, and the water went down the wrong pipe. Despite my frantic gasping, I surged forward like a seal running away from a great white shark.

But, it wouldn’t matter how fast I swam because that thing was faster…much faster. There was just no hope for me.

I made it about halfway to shore when the snake-like creature got close enough to taste me. Within a few more seconds, I felt the monster graze my feet with its nose. It almost teasingly…playfully…wrapped its’ tongue around my ankle. It was like it was taste-testing its’ food…deciding if it wanted me or not. I screamed in surprise and fear as my hands touched the bank of the river.

Stay on the lookout for the conclusion to this epic vore tale tomorrow. I hope you like it, babe!
